Fun Mural Painting
Have you ever wanted to paint a mural? It is lots of fun so get out those paint brushes, find a huge place to lay out the canvases, tweak your colors and get started!
Below is a slideshow of the steps. I always start with laying out the background and foreground. The center panel should be the focus where the eye is drawn. The other two side panels just extend that middle scene. I usually get a "bling" or stick on figure or a picture to be my inspiration. At the end, I use other stick on's like butterflies, dragonflies, rinestones, jewels, or any other stickers that embellish the painting and give it a 3D look.
This one was created for my granddaughter and hangs above her crib. She loves it and it really gives the room a theme!
Have fun and remember that you can always paint over something if you don't like it. Just experiment and create. That is the part of an artistic project that I love the most.

Loquacious Laura: Those edges, which can be neglected, are so wonderfully busy in your mural! They draw the viewer's attention, so no wonder it's a crowd pleaser.

I can tell you had a lot of fun with this one-playtime. :) The smilebox aspect was neat, too. Smooth way to show progress of a work.
